Ontario-based.Buildingfor the websince 2019.
I'm Wilson — a full-stack developer and Web3 engineer based in Ontario. I've been building for the web since 2019, which at this point means I've broken enough things to have a pretty good sense of how not to.
I started with the usual — React, Node.js, figuring out why things weren't working at 2am. Then I got curious about smart contracts and spent a long time going deep on Solidity, protocol design, and how DeFi systems actually hold together under pressure. Turns out that's also where I started doing security auditing, because if you're going to write contracts that hold real money, you'd better understand how they can break.
These days I work across the whole stack — frontend, backend, smart contracts, infrastructure — not because I had to but because each layer kept pulling me in. I like building things that actually hold up. The kind of work where you're proud of the parts nobody sees.

Guitar
Completely self-taught, which means every technique I learned came from stubbornness and YouTube at odd hours. Somewhere along the way I got genuinely good at it — good enough that people ask me to play at things, which still catches me off guard. It's one of the few skills I'm proud of that has nothing to do with a screen.

Gaming
Most of my gaming time goes to FIFA. There's something about the career mode that gets me every time — rebuilding a lower-league club, making signings, watching the table shift. Call of Duty fills the gaps when I want something faster and less strategic. Both are good for decompressing after a long day of staring at actual code.

Always
listening
I enjoy music, but what I really enjoy is discovering it — finding something new before anyone in your circle does. My taste is all over the place and I'm fine with that. Whatever fits the mood, whatever fits the moment.
